Botox® treatment for aging, bruxism, or excessive sweating
Common brands such as Botox®, Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Dysport are all Botulinum Toxin Type A injectables. All of these products work in the same manner to relax muscles, though they may have slight variations at the molecular level. We work directly with patients to help them choose the product that best suits their needs.
These injectables work by diminishing muscle contractions that cause etched wrinkles and folds, sometimes called dynamic wrinkles. The goal is to soften the lines and folds while maintaining natural expressive movement. The areas often treated include frown lines between the eyes, lines along the forehead, and crow’s feet around the outer edges of the eyes. In some instances, we may also treat the lower face, bringing balance and harmony to the facial appearance and addressing the process of aging.
These injectables are a great preventative tool for preventing the formation and progression of fine lines and wrinkles throughout the face. We encourage patients to return for injections every three months to prevent additional wrinkle formation.
Botox® and other Botulinum Toxin Type A products are injections that help in treating:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Jaw clenching
- Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
- Chronic headaches and migraines
The average procedure time is approximately 45 minutes long, and patients will want to repeat their treatments approximately every 3-4 months to maintain the achieved results. Patients are invited to ask about Botox® before and after photos to get an idea of what this treatment can do!

In our office, probably one of the most popular services is going to be a Botox. There are five different types of neurotoxins on the market that are FDA-approved. We have all of them and we love all of them, and it’s really about matching the right product with the right person. So some of us have our own preferences. So if you have a product that you like, you can always request that here. But we also spend a lot of time getting to know you and what your goals are and what kind of look you want, and we’ll help melt you with that right product. So for Botox treatments, you’re going to typically see us every three to four months. The way Botox works is it relaxes the muscle that makes the face that makes the wrinkle. So we place it really strategically to make sure you still retain really natural motion, but we’re still able to smooth out those wrinkles for you.
So the most common areas that we’re going to treat with Botox is going to be what we call the elevens or the frown lines. In between the eyebrows, the forehead, and the crow’s feet are the most common areas, but there’s a lot of areas that we can treat that are really beneficial, both cosmetically and therapeutically. So we really like to incorporate some lower face treatments. We don’t want to be aging at one rate from here up and then aging at a different rate from here down. So we do these nice subtle treatments for the lower face as well, which can include doing something like a lip flip, treating the chin with chin dimpling, the corners of the mouth that can lead to marionette lines. We use a number of therapeutic indications as well, so people who are clenchers or grind their teeth, we’re going to treat their macers.
That can also slim the face, which some people like. Botox is going to be a treatment that we’re only going to treat somebody 18 and over in our practice. This can be used for preventative measures, not going to really treat before your early twenties. I think the results that people can expect with Botox is this really brightening lifting of the eyes, smoothing out improving the texture of the skin. You really cannot recreate that first time you get your first bot track treatment because it is really magical and it’s just this kind of lighter, brighter version of yourself.
What about dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are another option available at Cassie Lane Aesthetics. Patients are welcome to ask about the use of dermal fillers instead of or in addition to Botox® injections.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How Does Botox Work on Fine Lines and Wrinkles?
Botox is a neuromodulator, meaning it temporarily blocks nerve signals to the muscles where it’s injected. This relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles, smoothing out fine lines and folds caused by muscle tension and skin laxity. Simply put, Botox helps soften expression lines for a more refreshed, youthful look!
At Cassie Lane Aesthetics, we are delighted to offer all five FDA-approved neuromodulators: Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Daxxify. Each of these products contains Botulinum Toxin Type A, but they all come with their own distinct formulations and unique benefits tailored to meet your individual needs. What Areas Can Botox Treat?
Botox is popular for both men and women and can smooth out:
- Frown lines (the “11s” between your brows)
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
- Forehead lines
- Chin dimpling
- Neck bands
- Downturned corners of the mouth
- Bunny lines
Beyond aesthetics, Botox is also used to treat:
- Chronic migraines

How Long Do Botox Results Last?
The results of Botox treatments typically last between three to six months. However, this can vary based on several factors, including your metabolism, muscle strength, and the specific amount of Botox used during the procedure. Many clients find that the effects can become even longer-lasting with regular treatments.
Is Botox safe for cosmetic use, and what should I consider before getting the procedure?
Yes! The FDA has officially approved Botox for cosmetic use since the early 2000s, and it has built a solid reputation for safety when administered by qualified medical professionals. As with any cosmetic procedure, discussing any potential risks or concerns with your provider in advance is crucial. This ensures that you can make an informed decision and feel comfortable with the treatment.
Can I Get Botox While Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
Since there’s limited research on Botox during pregnancy and breastfeeding, we recommend avoiding it during pregnancy. If you’re breastfeeding, talk to your provider and bring clearance from your OBGYN before receiving treatment.
Are There Alternatives to Botox?
Yes! If you’re looking for other options, we also offer:
- Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Daxxify – alternative neuromodulators with different formulations
- Dermal fillers – for volume loss and deep wrinkles
- Laser treatments and chemical peels – for skin texture and tone
