Medical Weight Loss Program
I’m Chadwick Steendam and I’m a PA here at Cassie Lane Aesthetics. I provide our bioidentical hormone replacement therapy program and I provide our weight loss program. So here at Cassie Lane Aesthetics, we offer two medications for weight loss currently. The first one is Semaglutide, which mimics a hormone that we naturally make in our body. That hormone signals to your brain that you’re full, so it can help you, um, eat less and feel full longer. It is a safe and effective way to lose about one to two pounds per week. And there’s really minimal side effects. We’ve had patients lose lots of weight. On Semaglutide, we’ve had patients lose up to 20% of their body weight on Semaglutide, and some can even go further than that. It’s a slow, gradual weight loss, but people all of a sudden look down the road a couple months and they’ve lost 20, 30 pounds. Everybody’s a little bit different in terms of the length of time they need to be on this Semaglutide therapy for, it depends a little bit on how much weight you have to lose. Everyone’s also a little bit, bit different and what do they’ll need. And so we kind of slowly work you up on the dosing till we, till we find your perfect dose. Once we find your dose, people can expect to lose about one to two pounds per week. So depending on how much weight you have to lose is how long you might need to be on the medication.
So I think, women especially, we really struggle to lose weight as you age and that can be kind of hormonally related. And just as you get older, your metabolism slows down a little bit. And so if you’ve tried a lot of different things like the way you eat in your diet, your different exercise, then and that’s not really working for you, then I encourage you to come in and talk to us. We can kind of explain to you how the medication works, what side effects you might experience, and most people generally tolerate the medication very well and lose a lot of weight with it. Here at Cassie Lane Aesthetics, we only treat 18 and above. So anyone who’s over the age of 18, we’re happy to do a consultation to see if they could be a good fit for Semaglutide. Really there’s no age limit. We just look at your health history and make sure that you’re a good candidate based on that. On top of Semaglutide, we also offer Tirzepatide, which is a newer, uh, weight loss drug on the market. That is like Semaglutide, but it actually has two hormones that it mimics and so it can be even more effective for people losing weight. If you come in and have a weight loss consult, we’re happy to talk to you about which medication might be the right fit for you.
