Cassie Lane DNAP, NP | FOUNDER & INJECTOR
Cassie’s background as a Nurse Anesthetist built a love for all things procedural. She attended Emory University in Atlanta for her BSN and then VCU Nurse Anesthesia, the #1 Program in the country. When she’s not in the office she is spending time with her husband, Jimmy, and 2 little boys, Mickey and Parker. Her strong clinical experience coupled with her love for aesthetics led her to open Cassie Lane Aesthetics. She is the founder of Injectables EDU, which offers training and resources for aesthetic injectors. Her dedication to her patients and teaching is the foundation on which the Cassie Lane Aesthetics practice and team is built.
Julia Lazarus, BSN, RN
Julia got her start as a cosmetic injector at a national aesthetic practice, where she functioned as one of their lead providers for just over 2 years. In this time, she learned invaluable skills on how to provide natural and consistent results.
She has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing as well as a Bachelor’s of Arts. Her dedication to lifelong learning has led her to continue her education. She is enrolled in a Master’s of Science in Nursing program, with the ultimate goal of obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner license.
Julia’s passion for the aesthetic industry originated from a first-hand experience of the transformative power and impact of aesthetic treatments on one’s confidence.
Outside of work, you can find Julia exercising, taking on DIY house projects, and spending time with friends, family, and her two golden retrievers, Hansel and Hank!
Caroline Hanson, BSN, RN
Caroline is an experienced injector who combines her background in Interior Design with her love of aesthetics. She has a Bachelor of Science in Kitchen & Bath Design and in Nursing. After several years as an ICU nurse, she got her start as a cosmetic injector at a national aesthetic practice, where she then became the regional medical trainer over the state of Virginia.
She enjoys seeing how small changes can make an impactful difference in people’s lives and loves that she can be a part of that journey.
Outside of work, she spends her time traveling, rock climbing, spending time at the lake and renovating houses.
Brooke Sklut, BSN, RN
Brooke has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent many years as an operating room nurse, before becoming the Nurse Manager of an Aesthetic Surgery Center with Emory Healthcare. She then moved to Virginia to continue her nursing career and be closer to her family.
Her primary focus is on our Weight Loss Program, where she enjoys helping people become healthier, happier versions of themselves.
Outside of work, Brooke loves to relax with a good book and spend time with her family.
Sherri Avery, LPN
Sherri Avery is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Her career has been marked by a deep commitment to patient care, with significant expertise in dialysis nursing and, most recently, as an accomplished endoscopy nurse. Beyond her medical career, Sherri possesses a passion for interior design that led her to pursue design courses at the University of Richmond. This passion eventually led to an exciting career transition when she and her husband acquired Whetstone Upholstery and Interiors, a prominent business in downtown Richmond. During their ownership, they had the privilege of collaborating with various television production sets, contributing their expertise in upholstery and interior products. Sherri’s diverse experiences and unwavering dedication exemplify her multifaceted approach to life and career pursuits.
Additionally, Sherri has returned to her nursing roots and now enjoys working directly with patients, tending to their health and well-being. Her compassion and dedication to healthcare remain strong, and she finds immense satisfaction in making a positive impact on the lives of those under her care. In her free time, she continues to inspire and assist individuals in realizing their interior design dreams while also indulging her hobby as an amateur winemaker and actively participating in the Central Virginia Winemakers Association. Sherri Avery’s remarkable journey showcases her unwavering commitment to both her patients’ welfare and her creative passions.
Chadwick Steendam, PA-C
Chadwick received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech, which sparked her love for nutrition, weight loss, and health. She then received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where she ran a volunteer clinic program focusing on weight loss and behavioral modifications to help others improve their health and overall quality of life.
After she finished school, she moved with her husband to Colorado to enjoy all of her favorite outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, and camping and she started her career in Pediatric Critical Care. She worked in the Pediatric ICU for over 5 years before making the change to Women’s Health. She is passionate about hormone replacement therapy, because she believes every woman deserves to age gracefully and feel their best through all stages of life and menopause. She’s deeply passionate about patient-centered care and wants to foster a compassionate and empathetic environment for all of her patients.
Outside of work, you can find her with her husband and her dog Leo enjoying the outdoors, at a yoga class, cooking for friends, or trying out one of the amazing local restaurants or breweries.
Brougan May Sheets, BSN, RN
Brougan has her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Mary Baldwin University. She is a current Family Nurse Practitioner student, as well as an aesthetic nurse injector specializing in tox, dermal fillers, laser services, medical weight loss education and support.
In honor of her late mother, she is an avid supporter of Breast Cancer awareness and preventative care practices, as well as committed to serving the community by providing quality care and confidence through aesthetic services.
Originally from Mount Solon, Va, she is happily married with 2 dogs and 3 horses on their 700 acre dairy farm. In her spare time, she enjoys SEBRA rodeo, barrel races and training young horses.
Alison Smith, MSN, RN, FNP-BC
Alison has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She spent a majority of her career working in oncology and hospice and has a passion for patient education and empowering patients to live a happy and healthy life, no matter where they are in their health journey.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and reading books. She is an avid cook and is often working on a new recipe or tasty treat for her family to enjoy!
Jenn Harrington, Practice Manager
Jenn is a former client of Cassie’s turned Practice Manager! Jenn has a Bachelor of Art degree from Syracuse University in Retail Management and Consumer Studies. She has an extensive retail background that includes both store management and corporate inventory planning. After staying home with her daughter for 3 years she found a position that blended her love of building relationships with clients, business planning and aesthetics.
Jenn, along with her husband, Mark, their daughter, Emilia, and dog, Jessi moved to RVA in 2021 from Cincinnati, OH to be closer to family. When not in the office, you will find Jenn and Mark exploring new restaurants in the city, updating their 1940’s home, and spending time with neighbors, friends & family.
Pam Rodda, Client Coordinator
Pam has her Bachelor of Art degree from East Carolina University in Interior Design and Art. After many years of working with clients in residential and commercial design, she decided to stay at home to raise her daughters.
Feeling the need to continue to be creative she started her own business brand Junktales. She manages successful social media accounts and writes a blog.
Pam is an outgoing person that loves seeing clients come in every day and being a part of their aesthetic journey. When she is not in the office she is usually hanging out with her husband, daughters and two dachshund dogs.
Zoe Moffett, Client Coordinator
Zoe has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Sociology and Forensics from Radford University. On a whim, she entered the aesthetics world shortly after graduating in 2021, and has loved the meaningful connections she’s made with the people she has met, both clients and coworkers.
Outside of work, Zoe enjoys spending her time with her 2-year-old Husky, Maverick, exploring new restaurants in the Richmond area, and spending time with friends and family.
