Learn more about radiofrequency microneedling

Radiofrequency Microneedling, often called RF Microneedling, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure combining two effective technologies: microneedling and radiofrequency energy. This treatment is designed to rejuvenate the skin, improve its texture, and address various concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, sagging skin, acne scars, and uneven skin tone.

Here’s how it works:

MICRONEEDLING: During the procedure, a specialized device equipped with tiny, fine needles is used to create micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries are very small and not visible to the naked eye. Microneedling stimulates the body’s natural wound-healing process, which produces collagen and elastin—key components that help maintain the skin’s firmness and elasticity.

RADIOFREQUENCY (RF) ENERGY: In addition to microneedling, the device also delivers controlled RF energy into the deeper layers of the skin. RF energy generates heat, which serves two primary purposes. Firstly, it stimulates collagen and elastin production, enhancing the skin’s overall texture and tightness. Secondly, the heat tightens existing collagen fibers, providing an immediate skin-tightening effect.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RF MICRONEEDLING?

RF Microneedling is safe for all skin types and can be used on various parts of the body, not just the face. It can also be used to treat the neck, chest, abdomen, inner thighs, knees, lips, and eye area. It’s a versatile treatment that offers both immediate and long-term results.

  • Improved Skin Texture: RF Microneedling helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, resulting in smoother skin
  • Skin Tightening: The treatment tightens loose or sagging skin, particularly around the jawline, neck, and jowls
  • Reduction in Pore Size: RF Microneedling can minimize the appearance of enlarged pores
  • Skin Lifting: It can provide a subtle lifting effect, enhancing the contours of the face
  • Even Skin Tone: The procedure can improve skin tone and reduce redness and pigmentation

WILL I HAVE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER TREATMENT?

Some discomfort, redness, and swelling are expected immediately after the procedure, but downtime is minimal compared to more invasive surgical options.

RF Microneedling - Cassie Lane Aesthetics

RF MICRONEEDLING stands for radio frequency microneedling, and it’s different from regular microneedling in that it combines two technologies. So you have the traditional microneedling technology with tiny little needle device, and it is combined with radio frequency energy, so that combination helps to improve skin texture, helps with skin tightening, improves pore size, and it can actually give a lift and tighten to the skin. It utilizes not just that microneedling device, but also that heat energy to promote new collagen and elastin production in the tissue, and that’s what’s giving you that skin lifting and tightening. There’s really no limitations to skin types or who can receive radiofrequency microneedling based off of the age. But in your consultation, we will sit down with you and talk to you about your expectations with your results and whether or not we think that this would be a realistic treatment for you based on how your skin presents.
Depending on your degree of skin laxity and your goals with the treatment, we would recommend you do a series of either four or six treatments with RF microneedling. Usually each treatment’s spaced out about four to six weeks between. One of the biggest concerns clients have with RF microneedling is, is it going to hurt a lot of devices on the market? Utilize a different technology than the device that we have here. We utilize this scarlet device for RF microneedling, and what’s unique about that device is it’s delivering the energy at multiple different depths of tissue in a simultaneous pass, and that helps to minimize the discomfort that you feel during the treatment. We’re also going to incorporate numbing during the treatment to help take the edge off some of the spicy areas. One of the biggest improvements we’re already seeing with treatments for clients is in skin texture. I have several clients that are already seeing results even after just two treatments with RF microneedling. Typically, results though are going to show about three to six months after they’ve finished their series of treatments, but definitely big improvements in skin texture and some of those more fine lines and wrinkles. A lot of the lift and tightening and the resurfacing of, so some of those deeper lines takes additional treatments towards the end of the series.

HOW DOES THE SCARLET™ DEVICE COMPARE TO MORPHEUS8 AND OTHER RF MICRONEEDLING DEVICES?

The Scarlet™ RF Microneedling device is unique from other devices like the Morpheus8. It is the safest treatment in the field of RF devices and utilizes non-insulated tips to deliver energy throughout multiple layers of the skin, meaning less downtime and side effects. It is the only device with the patented “Na Effect,” which delivers the same amount of energy in one pass that other devices deliver in up to three passes. This means treatments can be done faster and with less discomfort!
